We invite Jewish Museum of Maryland visitors—both in person and online—to share their stories and reflections inspired by the exhibits My Odessa: Paintings by Yefim Ladyzhensky and Power of Protest: The Movement to Free Soviet Jews. Below are three questions. Please respond to one or more.

The Maryland Jewish community took an active role in the fight for Soviet Jewry. Do you have personal recollections or family stories about this time to share with other visitors?

Take inspiration from the work of Ladyzhynsky and paint a verbal picture of a snapshot from your life. What colors, smells, or feelings come to mind?

The individuals represented in Power of Protest and Ladyzhynsky himself went through periods of great upheaval. What actions can we take to help others in our communities going through their own experiences of upheaval?
